James W. Butler, Jr., CFA, CPA
Vice President and
Senior Fixed Income Analyst
Mr. Butler is a Vice President and Senior Fixed Income Analyst, primarily responsible for corporate credit analysis and special situations. He has twenty-seven years of investment industry experience and has been employed in various areas in the financial markets, since beginning his career as a feasibility analyst with Ernst & Whinney in 1980. From 1984 through 1997 Mr. Butler was an investment banker with Drexel Burnham Lambert and Kemper Securities, and from 1997 through 2002 he was Assistant Director for the statewide bond issuing authority Illinois Development Finance Authority. Mr. Butler received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1976 and an M.B.A. from George Washington University in 1979. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") and a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") and an active member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago, as well as the American Institute of CPAs and the Illinois CPA Society.
