Edward A. Treichel
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Treichel has more than thirty-five years of investment experience and is responsible for managing the business and operations of McDonnell. Previously, Mr. Treichel served as Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of Van Kampen Management Inc. and was responsible for building Van Kampen’s separate account business, which was acquired by McDonnell in October 2001.

Mr. Treichel was also a Vice President in the Institutional Portfolio Management and Counseling group at Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, where he was responsible for fixed income investment strategy, trading, portfolio management, credit research, and new product development. Mr. Treichel earned his B.B.A., M.A., and Ph.D in Finance and Monetary Economics at the University of Iowa, and his background includes ten years of teaching at the University of Maryland and the University of Iowa.
