Dennis J. McDonnell
Chairman and Executive Managing Director

With thirty-eight years of investment industry experience, Mr. McDonnell provides oversight and strategic direction for the Company. Previously, Mr. McDonnell was employed with Van Kampen Investments Inc. and served as Executive Vice President and member of the management committee of Van Kampen. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Van Kampen’s investment management businesses, including Van Kampen Management Inc. Mr. McDonnell was also Chairman and President of the Van Kampen closed-end mutual funds and Executive Vice President of the Van Kampen open-end mutual funds.

Mr. McDonnell was previously associated with Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago as a Vice President in the bond and treasury services department. He served as Division Manager of the portfolio services division, providing portfolio and financial futures advisory services to bank customers. He also managed the bank’s municipal portfolio and municipal research staff. Additionally, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Continental Illinois Financial Futures Inc., a wholly-owned Continental subsidiary offering brokerage services in financial futures contracts on the London and Chicago financial futures exchanges.

Mr. McDonnell received his M.A. degree in Economic Theory from the University of California-Los Angeles and his B.S. in Economics from Loyola University of Chicago.
