Susan M. DeSanto
Vice President and Director, SMA Administration and Operations

Ms. DeSanto is Director, SMA Administration and Operations, with twenty-three years of investment industry experience. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the administration of the Company's management of assets through separately managed account (SMA) programs. Ms. DeSanto and the Account Administration team currently support the administration of more than twelve SMA program relationships, with nearly $2.8 billion in assets under management and approximately 5,000 accounts. In addition, Ms. DeSanto has assumed day-to-day responsibility for the Operations team, charged with oversight of all back-office and operations functions at McDonnell. Prior to joining McDonnell, Ms. DeSanto served as Vice President of Operations at Nuveen Investments, responsible for a team supporting the administration and operations of 13,000 municipal SMA and institutional accounts across 40 custodian/sponsor systems, as well as 130 closed and open end retail funds. Ms. DeSanto joined Nuveen after eight years of service at Van Kampen Investments, where she managed a nine-person team that supported trading, analytics and operations for the Van Kampen Funds. Ms. DeSanto began her career in the industry as a competitive municipal underwriter at Continental Bank, after moving to the Bond Department from the lending side of the bank.
