Mr. Kovanda is a Senior Credit Analyst in the Alternative Credit Strategies Group. He has twelve years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining McDonnell, he served from 2000 to 2004 as a credit analyst for the Bank Loan Asset Management Group of Columbia Management Advisors, where he covered the healthcare and electronics industries. From 1997 to 2000, he worked for Stein Roe & Farnham Incorporated as a research associate in the Private Placements Group, where he was a generalist focusing on asset-backed securities and investment-grade bonds. Mr. Kovanda received his B.S. degree from Georgetown University and his M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
